Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Introduction of STP resulted in big changes to the wasy businesses reeports its employee tax and super obligation to ATO.

With STP you report employees' payroll information – such as salaries and wages, pay as you go (PAYG) withholding and super – to ATO each time you pay them through STP-enabled software of your choice.

With effect from 1 July 2019, even small businesses with 19 or less employees are also requred to report under STP. Failure may lead to penalty.
